Join us this month in PAYING IT FORWARD by supporting Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center!
Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center, located in Perkasie, creates therapeutic programs for individuals with cognitive, physical, emotional, behavioral and psychological needs utilizing the equine experience.
Using the horse and therapeutic partner and tool, we strengthen bodies, minds and spirits through the power of the horse-human connection. We have a wide range of therapeutic riding programs, hippotherapy and equine-assisted activities to serve our diverse population of individuals facing physical, cognitive, behavioral or psychological challenges.
In the last 19 years, Ivy Hill has grown to serve 184 active riders and 300 Special Program participants with 16 therapy horses, 28 staff, and 120 volunteers. Ivy Hill provides equine-assisted activities and therapeutic programs for children and adults with disabilities, challenges and special needs as well as financial and emotional support for their families and caregivers. Our therapeutic riding program, hippotherapy program and competition participation build physical, emotional and personal health. The opportunity to compete on horseback opens the world of sportsmanship and pride to our riders and families. The Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies we have created reach to families that have children with cancer, families that have loved ones with severe physical disabilities and co-morbidities, mothers and children healing from the trauma of domestic violence, teens and young adults who deal with social isolation, mental illness, addiction, and behavioral challenges, senior citizens trapped by physical and cognitive frailty and isolation – these are the members of the Ivy Hill family.
You can help us support them this month by attending and spreading the word about their two upcoming fundraising events:
– Ivy Hill’s Golf Benefit, Friday, Sept 14th 2018, Pinecrest Country Club
– Sellersville Theater Event, Friday, October 26
